The story of a 15-year-old girl who was saved by her mom after the high-heeled heels caught on the bottom of a pond has been captured on video and shared widely online.
The incident happened on Feb. 4 in the town of Ripton, about 65 miles south of Detroit, about 60 miles from the Detroit River.
The teen was walking her dog when a small river burst its banks.
She swam across and landed on her stomach.
The family then called the National Weather Service, and they spent a half hour paddling back to shore.
The teenager is now recovering in a hospital.
